Creating Ripples For Others

On the ride in to the office this morning I contemplating what to write about.  I had a ton of ideas swirling in my head but none that were just resonating with me.

Then I got to the office and opened my email.

I received two separate emails from people whom I've been trying to help get jobs.  One is here in Austin and the other is in another state.  I've given advice.  I've offered a few opinions.  I've even kicked some motivational butt when it was necessary.  But most importantly, I leveraged the power of my network to open up some doors of opportunity.

Now I didn't get these people their new jobs, I am not that powerful.  No, I only made some proper introductions to great leaders who trust me and who just so happened were looking for equally great people.  The leaders and my contacts had to take it from there.

Being a good Rippler means possessing the means to help people when they need it.  I wouldn't be able to do that if I didn't have a wide network of people who are willing to step up and help out when called upon.  The trust that both "parties" place in me is one the highest privileges I could be given in life and I don't take that lightly.

I consider it such an honor to create Ripples for good people and good organizations and the pay-off is days like this.  Knowing when I made a difference on a couple of levels.

What a way to start this week of Thanksgiving eh?

Ripple On!!!

I want to be that kind of rippler, the kind who can nudge opportunity towards deserving people! I'm trying hard to overcome shyness and fear and feelings of awkwardness.

Thank you for another essential article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a complete way of writing? I have a presentation incoming week, and I am on the lookout for such information.
