Friday Favorites (On a Saturday)
Down time in my little backyard Oasis.
As a seasoned entrepreneur, it's easy to get lost in work. My head literally goes non-stop with ideas, strategies and my ever growing list of to do's for the various ventures I am involved in. I could easily work non-stop if I were to let myself. And let me tell you, I used to.
It cost me my health.
It almost cost me a marriage.
And it definitely cost my sanity.
You see without downtime I don't ever get away. I never find the quite that my brain requires. That's why I love my wife. She's made our home a respite, and specifically our yard, a place to unwind, think, mediate or just chill and listen wind blow through the trees.
As you can see from the pictures Kathy has made me an incredible place to unwind, relax and get some of my best thinking done. A cup of coffee, some great music (today's is smooth jazz), a book, a blank piece of paper and my laptop allow me to use my downtime to mentally heal.
If you don't have a special spot for your own rejuvenation, find one now! Trust me...it took me a long time to get one and now that I have it, I long for the time I get to spend enjoying it.

Beautiful oasis! Everyone should have one. Enjoy!
I am slowly starting to see a faint trace of my style, the way I approach a theme and execute it. But at this stage it is like a barely there whisper and I am looking forward to discovering more of it and to see how your style develops:-)
