Creating Ripples Today
I wonder how many people woke up this morning and thought to themselves..."Who am I going to make an impact on today?"
I know what your thinking....a little early on a Monday morning to be thinking of other people. I have a whole week of my own "issues" to deal with right? How can I think of someone else when its hard enough to keep up with the pressures of my own life, much less make someone else's life a little easier. In the immortal words of Zig Ziglar, "your thinking is stinkin!"
Forget all that you have going on personally and professionally. Set that aside for just five minutes. Take a trip outside your own bad self and think about someone you really need to make an impact on. Perhaps it's your spouse, your son or daughter, a neighbor, friend, co-worker, employee, contact, prospect or a customer. Whoever it might be, ask yourself, "How can I do something positive for this person today?"
"If someone listens, or stretches out a hand or whispers a word of encouragement, or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinarly things begin to happen."
