Mantra Of Sorts
I read a great email yesterday that talked about the need for mission statements, vision statements and positioning statements. All great and valuable "talking" points. War cries for organizations and a public statement of commitment for the clients. I don't disagree with the necessity of them but wonder if there is something more relevant? Even simpler?
As I see it in order to keep clients coming back, a business has to provide (at least) three things: An excellent experience, invested people and the highest quality of product and/or service.
I know organizations that would agree with this and talk a good game about offering all three but rarely represent it in the trenches where it counts. So what kind of mantra should these companies be teaching their employees when all of their "statements" fail to deliver these three basic but needed provisions for business success?
