I couldn't agree with you more, Steve. There is immeasurable value in reading -- and not just business books and publications, but also high quailty fiction, history, humor, poetry, blogs, etc. Cultivating a continued fascination with what's going on in the world and what others are doing and learning is such a vital part of life and work. The people I know who are most "attractive" and interesting to others, who live the longest, richest, happiest lives, and who are the most successful are those who are avid readers and information gatherers. Finally, if you are a writer or even a blogger, you will find that the more you read, the better and more easily you will write and the more interesting and magnetic your writing will be.
